Gregory Christianson, an author and photographer, lives in Gettysburg, and has been walking the battlefield near his family home since he was a child. The idea for this book came about when he realized there were few books suitable for younger readers and families. Gregory is the author of the well-received Gettysburg Kids Who Did the Impossible! (Savas Beatie, 2019) and Gettysburg! Fast Facts for Kids and Families (Savas Beatie, 2023), as well as the former publisher and editor of the award-winning Unsung Hero Magazine and the author of The Reconciliation of All Things.
